Writing vertical data to a flat (unfortunately!) table
I have an application that I need to update (written by someone else) that requires that I take data from a nice, vertical table and write them into a pre-exisiting flat table. Column 1 of the vertical table is the PK for the flat table, while there are up to 35 entries that must be written into the flat table -- each one would be a record in the vertical table. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There have been a number of advises regarding providing details of a question like the operating system (win/Unix/Linux), programming language (Oracle/Sql/C/VB), Applications (Excel2003/2007, Access 2003/2007) and other pertinent information to provide most up to date answer. In this case – no pertinent information supplied. Can you provide specific details with examples?
