Writing directly ot iSeries optical drive
We are creating a file that is being copyied to the IFS using the cpytoimpf command. This is working fine. But the problem is that the file is for a State agency that is requiring that the file be sent on a CD for security instead of emal which would be our normal process. Is it prossible to copy the file straight to the optical drive and have to readable by other platforms(widoows, unix, etc). I know I could just have the user cd burning software on there PC but we would like to limit the users involvment if possible. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated. Bill Swann

Answer Wiki:
Hi, I've tried something similar in the past, but found that the CD produced is unreadable by windows machines. Ended up using a PC to do the burning. Regards, Martin Gilbert.
