Word 2010 is capable of converting your document to a PDF without any additional software required – just File –> Save As and select .pdf

    Yes, u can, but formatting may vary. Click File>Import and locate word file then export and save as pdf file, hope not necessary to buy reader. U can try to select all text & click the clear overrides button at the bottom of the paragraph styles panel to keep almost same formatting.
