 Word 2007 will not open a document when joined to a domain
Microsoft Word, Office 2007, Word 2007
When I am joined to a domain word 2007 will not open the document, but if I take the computer off the domain then Word will open the document without any problems.

In which version of MS Word was the document created?

There are settings to prevent opening documents created in older “less secure” versions of MS Word and other word processors. If there is a GPO that controls this behavior, then remoing from the domain removes the GPO and reverts the behavior.
