Microsoft Word 2007 automatically quits when editing a document, of course not allowing to save any changes. This forces me to try to auto recover the file(s), and when doing so and opening the file to work on it, it closes out again. Um, kinda frustrating. Please help. Thank you.
Have latest version of Antivirus.
Windows Firewall is disabled.

Yup did that and got the SP3, rebooted a few times too. Ran the update again to make sure. Good suggestion, but still didn’t resolve. It’s becoming more rampant now, though intermittent, and spreading to more users in our network. We do have a group policy running via Active Directory.
Any others?
Windows XP has SP3, but Office 2007 is only up to SP1. Make sure you have both. I’d suggest disabling the antivirus.
