 Word 2002 crashing

We have users in a Terminal Services environment, who run their Microsoft Office products off a central server. Two different users are suddenly having issues with their Word program - one crashes immediately upon opening, the other will open documents, but tends to freeze after opening the documents. Both users show double instances of Word and/or Outlook in Task Manager when I go in - and it is extremely difficult to get them out of Word once it is jamming. Has any one seen anything like this before?

This issue ended up being corrected on the server itself. Puzzling, as the performance complaints were limited to just a few of the users......
