Wireless Access List
My wireless access list was enabled and no MAC addresses were listed on it, thus no devices can connect to the network. Can I forcefully connect or reset all settings without connecting? I would have to go through a great deal of effort to physically access the router so if that is unnecessary I would prefer any other means of going about this.

To enable a wireless router, you have to manually input the MAC addresses, they cannot be automatically updated like a Cisco router table, but, those tables are uploaded once and copied from one to another and updated. Also, one thing that you need to consider when you make these changes, if you want to lock down your wireless routed even further, there is a panel in which you can limit the number of systems that can access the router, the default setting I believe is 100. You can check the log and see what systems have logged onto your router, I do this on a daily basis at home when I found a war driver in the neighborhood.

Thanks for the answer Harisheldon but my problem is I cannot even connect to the router in order to change anything because my MAC address nor any other address is listed in the access list. So I can’t spoof any acceptable MAC addresses to use or anything of the sort, I just need a way to gain access in order to re-disable the access list.
If no logical network connection is available, physical access will be required. If it wasn’t, then anyone might reset the router at any time. What kind of router is it? — Tom

Since it is a Netgear router, there should be a button, a button that is reseeded within a hole, that you should be able to press and hold it for ten seconds and it will set the router back to the factory default settings. Once that is done, then you should be able to log in with the default name, which is blank, and the password is either blank, password, or admin. If it is not one of those, Google Netgear and look up the type of router you have and you should be able to download a pdf file for that type and it will give you the info that you need.
Thanks, I knew this I was just trying to find out of there was a way I could bypass the wireless access whitelist somehow because spoofing can’t be done when there are no MAC addresses listed, and getting to the wireless router will be a pain, thanks anyway
