Network Design is mostly based on preference and situation. If the laptops are mobile and move around the office, it would be good to consider wireless, but if they just sat in an office all day until their user packs up to leave, it would be good to use a wired connection. A wired connection will be less of a burden because of security and the fact that even the basic configuration of wireless settings can be a challenge to some users.

Getting them connected to a server is simple. Connect them to the same network and make sure they are in the same IP subnet. You can configure DHCP on the server, so they are getting the network information directly from the server the second they are plugged into the network.

For the printers, make sure they are networked printers (it will make it a lot easier). If they are networked printers, set a static IP address on each of them and install the drivers on the Server. Share all printers from the server (this will eliminate the need to install the printer drivers on each desktop or laptop). From each computer, UNC into the server, by going to Start -> Run. Type “\\server_name” and click on OK. It will open the server share files and printers. To install the printer on the computers, just double click on the printer. Once the print queue opens, the printer is installed.

if you use the wifi network it will flexible to move or change the situation but there is one things you should stress to the Security . cause the wifi network isn`t security, event you set secure pass so if you use it then should make hidden SSID and WPA password, it will better. The wired network just compatible with the fixed place of the PC but it can keep a good security, connection and speed for users. so which solutions you will depend on your purpose.
