Sounds suspiciously like the Blaster worm to me (http://vil.nai.com/vil/content/v_100547.htm). Or maybe Sasser (http://vil.nai.com/vil/content/v_125007.htm).

If confirmed that the PC that shuts down by itself has a virus, then better scan all computers/servers in your LAN. These viruses can self propagate.
