Hi Friends, When instaling a printer driver(Sharp ARM-257) on Windows XP professional the setup is going smooth without any error.But after refresh or restart , printer icon is not appearing in the printers & faxes.Checked in the Printers & Faxes/Server Properties/Ports, its taken the port. But the same is working on the other systems .Any solution from the group is most welcome. Thanking You in advance, Best Regards, Praveen

I'm assuming its USB, do you see a broken USB icon in the hardware manager when you plug the printer in? Sometimes its easier if you have the computer recognize that there's a printer first and then update the driver for it. That normally works for me unless its an HP printer. This machine is not a thin client of some sort that resets itself at boot or restart is i? I have seen this type of problem with thin clients when the end user does not have rights to permanently alter the root drive.
