if any of this suggestion is still not working the best way for that is to format your hard drive...but first you will need to backup your important file after doing that.

It might be possibility that your computer has virus infection.

You should have full scan your computer with good antivirs like AVG, Norton and McAfee etc.

And you can also optimiz your computer.

For Optimization you can delete temporary files, perfrom disk defragmentation and disk cleanup.

if you are still facing problem and want more help. I would suggest you just go through this web link:

If you have antivirus software already installed, that could be also the reason.
Some antiviruses uses a lot of resources of the machine, making it run very slow.
Pay attention to the RAM increase recommendations.

Clear your temporary internet files, and cookies.

Here are some programs you might want to look at:

CCleaner (cleans up a bunch of junk on your system you'll never see as well as in the registry)
Wise Registry Cleaner (similar story as CCleaner)
AVG Free
Spybot Search and Destroy

Then run a full disc defrag.

Also, definitely upgrade your RAM.

A RAM upgrade is definitely in order. You pretty much can't get a machine with less than 1 Gig of RAM installed these days. 2 is the current standard with high end machines coming with 3 or 4.

A virus and malware scan would be a good idea as well.

512MB of RAM? I'd suggest upgrading that to at least 1GB. Even if you find other issues, I'd still upgrade the RAM.

Suggest that before you do any thing else if you do not have anti virus and anti walware apps you install a good AV and anti malware app set. There are some good free ones available and there are some good ones that you have to pay for.
If you have AV software is it up to date? Have you run a scan lately? the Malware and virii will certainly slow down your computer.
