Q:
Windows XP Peer to Peer networked printer troubleshooting
The HP 1505n network printer was installed as a Network printer was successfully completed. Run a test print but did not print. The document failed to print. I have a Windows Peer to Peer network linking 6 computers.

The printer is installed on one local PC with the USB cable share the resources on the network is working fine.

I connect the printer to the hub and setup the printer on the computer is okay but could not print.

Is there any other options that I may follow to make it work?

Kindly thanking you in advance.

It is likely that the hub or router you connected the printer to does not have the drivers for that specific printer. Does the printer work with other machines connected to the network?

You wrote “WinXP peer-to-peer network” on the LAN - does that mean that no TCP/IP is installed on the “peers”? If yes, you’ll not be able to print to a network printer, since network printing protocol is a TCP protocol…

Good luck,
