 Windows XP not detecting external drive
I have sony laptop with windows 7, since direct installation was not possible, i have done it thru VMware. but the issue is windows XP is not able 2 detect external drives (Pen drives) whereas windows 7 is able to do it. what's the solution.

go to device manager and check the universal serial bus controller status, is there any exclamation mark. update the mother board drivers.. or, check BIOS setting for USB controller.... and Reset Default setting in BIOS.....
