Installing SAP on Windows Vista Basic
Vista compatibility, Dual booting, Windows XP, SAP installation, ECC4, SAP ECC, ECC6
I HAVE HP PAVILLION D5-1002TU LAPTOP USING WINDOWS VISTA.NOW I WANT TO INSTALL WINDOWS XP TO INSTALL SAP BUT HP CUSTOMER CARE SAID THAT WINDOWS VISTA IS NOT SUPPORTING ANY OTHER OPERATING SYSTEM.IS IT TRUE. IF YES THEN HOW TO INSTALL OTHER OPERATING SYSTEM ON WINDOWS VISTA.ALSO IS IT POSSIBLE TO INSTALL SAP ECC 4.7 OR ECC 6.0 ON WINDOWS VISTA & HOW TO INSTALL.IF IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO INSATLL SAP ON WINDOWS VISTA THEN WHAT IS SOLUTION.PLZ GUIDE ME ASAP.

Hello Sir,

To proceed ahead, please check with HP if they have necessary drivers for your computer compatible with Windows XP. Once they confirm that they have drivers. Get a Windows XP CD and follow manual to install Windows XP.

Note: Kindly ensure that you backup all required data before you proceed with installation.

I am not the right person to help you with SAP.

Also, if you are keen on installing windows xp to use SAP or something.
Then you can try using Microsoft Virtual PC on your laptop.
