Windows Sever 2003, .asp and remote desktop or ‘terminal services’

Has anyone seen an issue with the latest hot fixes for Win2003? (I apologize that I'm not 100% certain which ones I applied and cannot currently remote into the machine)... I added two fixes to my web-server which were released in the last month and upon reboot I can no longer get in using Remote Desktop and all published .asp pages are no longer working. I am wondering if there was a security fix which locked something down or maybe a .NET fix which disabled something? Once I can get someone on the box locally I need some ideas of what to try to get .asp and remote Desktop functionalities back. Any ideas?

I don’t know about the fixed, but for the remote desktop issue, try this

right click on my computer then click on properties, get the remote tab, and there make sure that the “allows users to connect remotly to this computer” is checked.

if this also didn’t work, then open a command prompt and type the following “telnet 127.0.0.1 3389″ from the web server, and tell me what exactly happens.

Another thing, did u install Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1? i hear that it contains a firewall, and this might have been configured to block the rdp protocol.

For the asp problem, try this, open Add/Remove Programs, then Add / REmove Windows components, double click on “Application Server”, double click on “IIS”, double click on “WWW server”, and there if the “Active Server Pages” is unchecked, then check it and keep saying ok, if its already checked, then uncheck it, say ok until you close the Windows Components wizard, then go to it again and check it.
