Well, Windows Server 2008 R2 includes new type of virtualization technology, reduce power consumption, various kinds of management tools for server utilization and administration & even as a Recycle Bin for deleted AD objects. And ofcourse, security is a very important part with this OS. Remember, February 9, 2011 onwards MS has released final release (RTM) of WS 2008 R2 SP1.
