Windows Server 2008 install error on virtual machine
Virtual Server 2005, Virtual Machines, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 Installation, Windows Server 2008 error messages, Windows Virtualization

I get the following error message "Windows Installation has encountered an error and needs to be restarted" when i try to install Windows Server 2008 using the ISO image attached to the virtual machine. Using Virtual Server 2005 R2

Redownload the ISO image and compare the file sizes, you may not have downloaded the full image.

You need to install SP1 and an update to virtual server 2005 r2 in order to be able to run Server 2008.
