 Windows Server 2008 freezing when scanning SAS drives
My Windows server 2008 is not posting and seems to be freezing up when it is scanning the SAS drives. I can not get to safe mode or last known good. How can I solve and fix this issue?

This may sound adequate but this seems a good solution. Fresh re-installation of your server 2008 on a different HDD especially not being able to boot safe mode and last config...This may help you identified and eliminate your problem between software and hardware counterfeit..

Does your server have a RAID controller that you can access during startup? If so I would start there to see if it can detect the drives. Also if available try putting the drives into another server to see if that machine can see it. If it can you are likely looking at a bad array controller.
