I have a user that cannot login. He has been on the domain for three (3) years. Starting this week, he could not login. The account was not locked out or disabled. I reset his password (blank), and he was able to login. The next day - same thing. The third and fourth day, he was fine. Today, he cannot login again. I reset his blank password, and he's good.
In all my years, I've never seen or heard of this situation. There are fifteen (15) users on the domain, and it is only the one user that has this issue. We've tried this from WinXP Pro SP3 clients and Win7 Pro SP1 clients with the same results. Any thoughts?

What error or message is logged? Tom
Various reasons might be there, in which one of is there any new gpo/ modification made to old gpo ! Try to unlink gpo by disabling them for searching that any gpo makes cause for that(if possible). In msconfig editor > services tab > hide all microsoft services > by switching startup tab and click disable all following OK button. Now login on to the problemsome PC and see if there any progress happens. Not sure, but try to dnld MPS Reporting toll from MS sites to resolve this issue. if the prob persists, What error message (exact text) are u getting when try to log in….. Restart the system and log on a problematic user account
Thank you Andrea! I will give your suggestion a go…
