I tried to format a flash drive in NTFS, but it seems to take forever to complete formatting. Is this normal? I also tried formatting the same flash drive in exFAT, which took much less time to complete. However, I can't use the flash drive with my laptop because it doesn't have exFAT as a file system for formatting? Why is this and how can I fix it?

no matter how you format your thumb drive to which ever file system too (ntfs or fat), the format should not take so long…

Before formatting your flash drive, you can already notice some settings above. Make sure to select the appropriate settings and format your flash drive using the quick format feature. If it still didn’t work, there might be problem with your flash disk device.
