Hello, in windows explorer, i used to be able to see the picture of an image file (jpg) via "view ~ thumbnails". Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work anymore. Is there a setting somewhere that I could reset? Thanks!

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

I have three reg files that I use to correct this:
1st file:
******************************************************
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.gif]
@=”giffile”

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.gifgiffile]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.gifgiffileShellNew]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.gifShellEx]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.gifShellEx{BB2E617C-0920-11D1-9A0B-00C04FC2D6C1}]
@=”{7376D660-C583-11D0-A3A5-00C04FD706EC}”
***********************************************************
2nd file:
***********************************************************
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.jpeg]
@=”jpegfile”

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.jpegjpegfile]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.jpegjpegfileShellNew]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.jpegShellEx]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.jpegShellEx{BB2E617C-0920-11D1-9A0B-00C04FC2D6C1}]
@=”{7376D660-C583-11D0-A3A5-00C04FD706EC}”

***********************************************************
3rd file:
***********************************************************
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.jpg]
@=”jpegfile”

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.jpgjpegfile]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.jpgjpegfileShellNew]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.jpgShellEx]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.jpgShellEx{BB2E617C-0920-11D1-9A0B-00C04FC2D6C1}]
@=”{7376D660-C583-11D0-A3A5-00C04FD706EC}”
***********************************************************
Use notepad to create these files and give them a name that ends with .reg and then double click them on the client and the entries will be merged into the registry. You should be file after that. You may need to reboot.
