I have formatted my Harddisk without backing up my encryption key. Now, I have problems opening the file which encrypted by me old OS. Can anyone advice me how to overcome this situation?

Hello kesevan, to my knowledge you can consider your files gone:
Are you sure you can’t remeber the encryption keys you used?
Anyway have a look at this site but, once again, don’t put too much hope on it.

    Once the encryption key is gone , so are the files. If you have a backup of your system you can probably recover them..Not many people re-format their drives without doing a back up first. It's kind of like a disaster recovery. What was the reason for the re-format ?
