Windows Auto Update at Shutdown

Automatic Updates, Update at Shutdown

I have an XP Media Center system that keeps installing the same update on shutdown, anyone know how to find out what updates are being done, or how to clear? If I force updates to take place it still does 1 of 1 update at shutdown every time I power off.

The update install is failing. You may be able to find an event in the log to this effect. I'd start by
runnning windows update. Find the update that is failing. Manually download the update to a local location and execute. If it fails again, you should at least have an error or event to begin your troubleshooting research.
Good luck
