We purchased Office XP 3BE, but now need Office for operating system 7.  Can we download Office for Windows 7 free, being we have purchased Office previously for XP?

At least not free to download, u have to transfer license as Jinteik suggested. and yes, u have to pay to keep word for ur laptop. Take a look licensing and MS office related

yeah if your purchase is for single license, if you want a copy in the laptop and desktop, you will be required to purchase the license
