Windows 7 limiting bandwidth for offline files

How can I limit the bandwidth of the background sync of offline files so it doesn't slow down my WAN. I have looked at the GPO but dont see a way to limit bandwidth. Thanks!

Applications sometimes have a hard time controlling something not native to their Layer. Bandwidth limitng / traffic-shaping is more of a network function.

GPO doesn’t directly tie into the WAN connection – you would have to limit that on either the switch / router interface with an ACL to filter the traffic, then set up QOS tagging for that specific application so you can limit and/or drop its traffic if it exceeds a certain bandwidth restriction…
