Windows 2K3 SBS Server
We just setup a new SBS 2K3 server today and everything seemed to be working, browsing the internet, exchange working fine and able to join pc's to the domain and name and ip resolution working just fine. then we attempted to run the MS updates from the website able to get all the way to selecting the critical patches and when we click on install nothing, it sits for several seconds 30-45 then errors out with no message why. then a few hours ago we get the icon that updates are ready to install, several critical patches get installed and all seems to be really going; then about 30 minutes ago i try to get the rest of the updates and nothing...back to square one again. Hasanyone seen this behavior on SBS2K3?

Try doing a custom install. Where you pick the upgrades to install, only select the installation files that do not require them to be installed by them selves (alone). I have noticed that sometimes if all the installs are selected the computer has a problem upgrading and times out. Do only a few at a time.
