Server gets an ip from cmos and it shows that is connected to the internet but we can't get it to access the internet is there a setting that i need to do? or the logmein software that we unistall contain some configuration so that the server could connected to the internet? Please Help!!!! we need to get this server up and running ASAP. Thanks......

LogMeIn should have no impact on whether a host can reach the internet or not. Are you sure no other changes were made to the network configuration? Check the NIC settings and ensure that the IP addresses are valid for your network. IP addresses are not usually assigned in CMOS unless it is for your integrated lights out (ILO) board or similar board.

I recommend opening a Command Prompt window and entering the IPCONFIG /ALL command. This will cause WIndows to display the server’s IP address configuration. Check to make sure that the IP address is set to the correct range for your network. If it isn’t, then the server won’t be able to access the Internet. You should alos check to make sure that the address is bound to the correct adapter, and that the subnet mask, default gateway, and DNS server specifications are correct.
