If you do not know the password for any login with administrative privileges, then you will need to use a password reset utility.

I have used this one to reset password on both Windows 2000 and Vista.
Windows Password Recovery 6.0
For further information just visit http://www.recoverlostpassword.com

Per Microsoft: If a user password is lost, forgotten, or unknown, the only method to reset the password is for the administrator (or a user with administrative access) to log on and reset the password in Computer Management. There is no method in the Windows 2000 security model to bypass, disable, or reset the password.

If the administrator password is lost, forgotten, or unknown, access to the computer may not be obtainable and the operating system may need to be reinstalled.

Or google on "windows 2000 password
changer" and "PWD_CHNG.exe" and "PwdChangerBootableFloppyDEMO.exe". One
of those will get you a program that will allow you to reset the password.
