Windows 2000, Active Directory and Access DB

Can the active directory structure be used to secure access by role/container to an access db (at the field level would be great), but read,write would really save some time...we are implementing HIPAA Thankx !

Hello,

Don’t know of any way to use AD to lock down an access to a specific db or any file for that matter. Sounds like you could simply use share and NTFS permissions coupled with group assignments to accomplish this.
