Trying to use Windows 7 Pro backup program generates "Server execution failed (0x80080005)". However, I can drag and drop to the drive, and open files, etc. Device manager recognizes the 1TB drive. Win7Pro installed drivers. Have noticed many similar problems from other users, but cannot find solution.

Software/Hardware used:
Win7 Pro backup provided with software.

Have you looked at this TechNet article on how to locate the problem. It discusses what the error could be and how you can clean boot your system.

Yes I've seen article. I filed a trouble report with MS. They phoned promptly and had me do: -- clean boot -- create new admin user -- remove my virus app. Still have same problem after rebooting after each step above. MS will call back to further troubleshoot. I haven't checked the drive for errors yet but will try now. Thank you much!
