A colleague of mine faces a strange problem: In Word on-screen he edits a number of bulleted paragraphs, looking like they should. When printed, the bullet symbol is replaced by another symbol - with ASCII value decimal 63 lower. Other people on the same network prints to the same printer with the same printer driver, and their bullets stays bullets in the outprint.
We tried using different symbols, and they all got replaced in outprint with the symbol 63 numbers lower in the set.
We have tried reinstalling the font or switching to other versions of Symbol, the problem stays unchanged. (And so far we have found no viruses or the like that could explain this funny behaviour.)
Have any of you experienced anything similar to this, or else have any idea where to look for the cause and solution?

I would recommend reinstalling the print driver or recreating the Normal.dot file. Sometimes the printer driver or normal.dot can become corrupted resulting is some real bizarre symptoms.
Good Luck.
