 Win2K server hosting Exchange2K3 update
I have Exchange 2003 SP2 running on a Windows 2000 server. A couple of issues have come up compelling me to update all servers to at least Server 2003. Since the Exchange Server is also the "Primary Domain Controller" (in NT parlance), is Exchange going to break if I perform an 'In-Place Upgrade' from Server 2000 to Server 2003/2003R2? Has anyone done this, and what happened? I have poured over MS Technet and anything else I can read, but I still do not have any definitive ansers.

Answer Wiki:
Microsoft does not support the configuration of Exchange installed on a domain controller. Can you demote this DC to a member server instead? At least then you could get support on it if you need it.
