 Win XP File Registration
I have a program called "IBM Lotus Forms Viewer". It creates files with the tail .xfdl. There is nothing I can do to get Win XP to recognize the file type and associate the correct program with it. Explorer<Tools<Folder Options<File Types does not work. Xfdl not in the list. Can't add it to the list. Trying "NEW' does not work. It does not work to manually associate the program with the file using "Always use the selected program to open...". Any advise much appreciated.

Answer Wiki:
Make sure you are logged on as the local administrator for the computer, then try adding to Explorer -> Tools -> Folder Options -> Files Types. Let us know if it still doesn't work.
