Ranfen8,
Have you tried running a virus scan? Can you provide more detail on the problem like what kind of problems you’re having, what system are you using and what Kaspersky product(s) you’re looking at? With more details, I’m sure our experts can give you some solid feedback.

Depends on the virus. I have dealt with PCs that have caught a virus, and the normal method for me is to do most of the virus hunting in safe mode.

There are times when this doesn’t work. Then I take out the infected drive and connect it to a clean PC beefed up with all the AV and rootkit hunters i can get. I run them all on the attached drive, and remove what can be removed. Re-install the drive and try again.

Latest case was for a PC running onecare, where the virus’ had hijacked the MS firewall and defender to stop access. Total of 24 found and cleaned before re-installation. Then a OS repair was needed to replace the infected dll and exe files.

This is a good time to log how you do it for future reference. Believe me, it is worth the time creating the log.

it all depends on the severity of the virus that infected your system, best way to defend yourself from viruses is check the sources if they are credible like when downloading or surfing the web, and before installing anything in your computer scan for viruses/rootkits/spyware/adware/trojan etc on the file and another thing always apply patches or updates on your operating system and lastly makes sure your antivirus signatures are updated and it doesnt hurt if you have another utility for double checking your system(good example from antimalware form malwarebytes) is free from viruses and etc. i hope i answered your question

Hi,
You can use Kaspersky Lab antivirus software to clean your PC. If you have problem with installation (sometimes viruses do not allow antivirus software to install) look for software that clean PC before KAV installation, you can find it on Kaspersky Lab site. Run it, and after that install KAV software, do the update and scan your PC.
Good luck!
