 Will a HD Radeon 6870 work with my currents pc setup?
ASUS, Radeon 6870, Windows 7 Ultimate
Hi i have an Asus A8B32-SLI Deluxe motherboard with a 700 watt power supply, 3g of ram and a amd athlon 3200(2.1ghz) processor. I am running windows 7 ultimate 64 bit
I am also wondering if getting that graphics card will allow me to play other games like Crysis or Battlefield 3, or if i would need to upgrade more or different parts of my computer. Thanks! The system you described should support the HD Radeon 6870 graphics card, but to be sure check out the system requirements at www.power-color.com/Manual/.../ Radeon_HD_6800_Series_ENG.pdf _____________________________________ Also make sure you use the latest driver. I had one of these and the CD that came with it had an older driver that caused a few minor but annoying problems. A quick call to tech support pointed me in the correct direction. Start here: http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/graphics/amd-radeon-hd-6000/hd-6870/Pages/amd-radeon-hd-6870-overview.aspx#1 Click the support tab, then the first link "Automatically detect and install the right driver " Then just follow the yellow brick road... That should fix any issues you might have (it worked for me!) Good Luck! Flame
