Hi , Greetings for the day, The backup job went in to MSGW state with CPF3777 (800 libraries saved, 1 Partially saved, 0 not saved) We used to take backup using Flash copy as we are using V7R1 OS with backup cluster. Kindly understand me what happened in that backup. Why there is a partial library backup? I have replied the message with I(ignore), The backup was completed successfully. Best wishes, GK

When that happens it is because 1 or more of the objects in that library was locked. If you look throught the joblog, you will be able to find out what object(s) did not get saved.

We are using FLASHCOPY for backup, Hence there is no chance of object locks.

Without knowing how the backup was done, we have no way to know why it was "partial". We need to know the backup instructions that were used, as well as the state of the system while the backup was running. If those can't be provided, then we need to see the joblog that resulted from the backup function. . Tom
