When I open a .dot Word file from the internet, "File" disappears from the tool bar, so I cannot save the completed document.  How can I save the thing?

.dot is template file format in MS Word. It is created by MS Word contains pre-formatted settings. From where did u download/ save the file, either direct from any website or as an attachment.... thing doesn't work if setting hyperlinks to a .dot file is itself is opened rather than a creating a new unsaved file with that template attached ! U can get help from here" http://support.microsoft.com/kb/289506. However it is based on Office 2002, though u can get idea/ it helps u a little.
