    It doesn't. And since it doesn't, more information is needed. What are you trying to do? Where does it seem to be clearing any address from? What component of Client Access are you using? When does the problem seem to happen? -- Tom

    We had the system(iSeries) down over holiday break for full system backup when one of our techs was trying to test new workstations. Since the device could not connect to the iSeries it blanked the IP in the .ws file. When we put the IP address back in it connected no problem. How did it blank out the IP address in the .ws file?

    I've tried multiple combinations and can't get the same behavior. Regardless of placing an address in the .WS file (which wouldn't be recommended) or using a host name that can't be contacted, nothing changes in the .WS file. Failures to make contact simply result in the non-contact error. Can you cause this to happen again? -- Tom
