Why do I constant get disconnected from VPN

We have VPN at work and I log nto it to get to our secure sites. Too often i get logged out - why does that happena dn can I correct?

It depends on why the connection is being dropped.

It could be that there isn’t any traffic for a certain period of time, so the VPN server is disconnecting you.

It could be a problem with your Internet access causing the connection to be dropped. If could be a problem with your companies Internet access causing the connection to be dropped. It could be a problem with the network connection between your ISP and your companies ISP.

It could be a configuration problem with the VPN server.

    Are you "logged out" of the VPN itself, or are you logged out of the application? That is, if you are using telnet for example over the VPN, is the telnet session disconnected but other access is still possible? Or does all access disconnect at the same time? Tom
