There is no one &quot;best for everything&quot; tool, especially when price is considered.  The more you are willing to pay, the more &quot;features&quot; you can get, but you might not need more than you get with the free tools.

Look at the feature sets offered by the vendors.  Figure out which features are really important to you and which ones are not important.  You might even want to start with the basic free tools, like Oracle SQL Developer, and see if it has the functions you need.

Personally, I have always liked Benthic Software&#039;s Golden and PLEdit tools for Oracle as a very lightweight and inexpensive alternative to Toad or SQL Developer.]]></description>
