 Which PTF is First?
Can i apply CUM,GRP, HIPERs and other single PTFs all at once with one image catalog? or first i need to apply GRP AND HIPERS and then CUM followed by IPL.?
Which order will be the best practise ?

Hi, Best pratice is first cumaltive ptf installed. in this case u can go for Cum, group, hiper at the time of installation it will ask for ipl . then u will go to ipl. prak

Me, I’m lazy. Unless the documentation indicates otherwise I load the entire mess into a single image catalog and let the system handle the order of application.

In our shop we follow the same procedure as Splat. Works great.

If you have not checked out image catalogs, it is worth the time. It is not as complicated as it may first appear.

 5,525 pts.

 

Once you put all PTF Files into IMAGE Catalog you can use WRKIMGCLG Load the Omage and then option 10 to Verify as PTF using the sort Variable and it will place in the IBM though order. If you do Cumulative , Hipers and DB2 it puts the Hipers and DB2 first
