I have overall 17 Years of IT experience on application development and Project / Program Management. In the recent years, my focus is more in to the program management. I am very much interested to get certified on the Information Security / CyberSecurity side, as the focus on the information security is gaining momentum at customer side. Can you please suggest the Information security roadmap to reach the managerial / senior level / decision maker level position in IT Service industry?

Welcome to ITKE, Jerish! If you're looking to get into the information security sector, I would suggest checking out CompTIA Security +, CISSP and CISM to start.

As you asked for cyber security certification, you can also consider this one: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/training-events/training-certifications/certifications/specialist/security/cybersecurity.html

Cyber security is a good option. Check with the local agencies for the best one to go for.

Just one is good enough to focus: CISSP
Its a tough one but it counts and sort of standardised proof. You have to train the multiple choices to be well prepared.

CISSP should probably be your ultimate goal. That certification requires certain prerequisites so, in the meantime, you could pursue Security+. That's a very solid certification. Keep in mind that there's a lot more to having a successful career in information security than just certification and technical skills. Check out these infosec resources I've written about the "other side" of security. Best of luck!

As a few of the others have already mentioned I'd start with CompTIA Security +, CISSP and CISM to start. Best of luck making a career change, it can be fun and challenging. I went from 30+years in the IBM RPG/RPGLE world of coding the the VB .NET side now writing web based services...Never regretted making the change.
