The Planar Inverted F antenna are among few antennas used for mobile communication. This is mainly due to its miniature size and it's abiltiy to work on higher frequency. A metallic strip is used over a ground plate which resembles the F shape, hence called the F antenna.
The dielectric with high permittivity is best used between the upper plane and the ground plane. I was only wondering the best, easily avaible, cheap material that could be used for a dielectric substance.
I've gone through several sites from where I imbibed that stainless steel (black) can be used in antenna ( for the antenna body) but there's hardly any reference to the best possible metals used for Planar Inverted F antenna.
A humongous project of building one of this PIFA lays in front of me, after the above knowledge I'd probably have to work out with HFSS antenna design kit, then ofcourse to finally fabricate one of such antenna!! Internet information are still my best bets. Thank a lot. Hope yo hear back soon.
Peace
