 Is it possible to share internet via wifi router just like adhoc connection?

Is it possible to share Internet to other computer via wifi router if I have a wireless 3gusb which can be connected only to 1 computer?
 I have 3g wireless usb stick to connect to internet. I can connect to only one computer. I have 2 laptops wifi enabled and a wifi router. Is it possible to share internet to other lap top via wifi router using the 3g USB stick?
it's similar to adhoc connection. In adhoc connection internet is shared b/w two computers but the router is inactive, I want to make the router also active.

As far as i know..No you cannot do this wirelessly. Also if you only have two computers what would be the point other than using router because you have it. One alternative is set up share internet and bridge the 3g with your Ethernet port and run a cable into the router. But I am not even sure if this will work. You can always buy a 3g wireless access point router that works with your thumb stick to act like a mifi spot. But if you only have two computers I say just ad-hoc it.

Um, your answer is technically in your question: " I have 2 laptops wifi enabled and a wifi router".. Why not connect teh wifi laptops wirelessly to the wifi router?

It would be incredibly slow if you could do it.

The speeds for upload and download are slow for the pc you connect the usb to.

Sharing the slow USB speed would make for unbearable delays.

In my opinion, it is not workable.

As answered by FrankTheTank, you could just bridge traffic through your computer - but I wouldn’t recommend it. As he also brought up, the logical workaround would be getting a 3G wireless device meant to be an access point - like the MiFi devices. What is your reason for doing this, what is the goal? Is it that you want mobile Internet for your laptop, and don’t want to pay for other Internet access for the other two devices? Otherwise, I’d suggest you get some wired Internet access for the other two devices and use the mobile access just for your laptop, because you won’t like the results having to run your laptop and bridge connections through it. The MiFi device (like http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/store/controller?item=phoneFirst&action=viewPhoneOverviewByDevice&deviceType=Mobile%20Hotspots) would be much more appropriate and you could toss the USB device.

Yeah your current router if it is not compatible with a 3G usb device will not work look into getting a new one like the Netgear net1 posted or switching to a MiFi device.
