 Where’s the mail?
Hi again people, Can someone walk me through to where XP puts its mail folders? I’m using Outlook Express and want to back up particular files within my e-mail. I’ve done this in the past Using Windows 2k. but I can’t find these files to grab the ones I want to back up and Then wipe my system out, and re-install windows and then put my emails back. Help? Please.

Software/Hardware used:
XP.

Answer Wiki:
Open Outlook Express and from the main menu select "Tools"->"Options", then select the "Maintenance" tab and click on the "Store Folder" button to find out what is the current store location. It is usually under "C:Documents and Settings<username>Local SettingsApplication DataIdentities{<some identity>}MicrosoftOutlook Express" Hope this helps. ******* Keep in mind you are looking for a .pst file, not emails themselves. Export your mail to a pst in a different location if you want to find it more easily. Import it into the re-installed application after re-install.
