Where does Windows 7 store passwords?

Can anyone tell me where my passwords are stored in Windows 7? I’m looking for a specific location. Also, do you know if they are salted?

    Wind 7 ac details r stored in SAM(Security Accounts Manager) which runs a part of system registry. It stores pass either lm hash/ ntlm hash (which now following). For more info, plz click here:
