Hi Everybody, I had some register issues and the outcome was to wipe out my hard drive and start fresh, re-install all my programs that I need or want and now that it's all back up and running, I go into my Visual Basic Program and can't find the Microsoft internet transfer control ocx, I can't remember if it was something that I did a download to get but even with that rout I can't find it to download, can any one tell me how to get it back in my visual basic work files or program? Thank you all for your replies. I believe the version I had before wiping out my hard drive was Microsoft Internet Transfer Control 6.ocx

Software/Hardware used:

Now that I've had time to play with it, I get this as my error msg. "License information for this component not found. You do not have an appropriate license to use this functionality in the design environment."

Most probably this is an licensing issue, some of copyright control is that case, use it in the final procedures no problem, but in the development of environment it needs to use "Development Permit / DP", i.e. "license file". Have u registered the OCX file, I hope so, though here is a way..... Click Start > Run and type as: regsvr32 /u C:WindowsSystem32<Path to OCX> <OcxFileName> According to ur version (VB4) and u installed an older version of the control, then u should delete/remove the .OCX, .OCA and .DEP files that it will help to replace..... IF not worked, Try full uninstall the VB4 from Control Panel > Add Remove Programs > and from there Visual Basic & remove it to replace with VB6 (If possible). And also after install VB6 after the MSDN6 also to be installed to ignore this issue. See here for VBSP
