I would need more details. You installed the OS then joined it to the domain. You input domain logon id and password and you see what? A prompt telling you that you have just been logged off? What specifically do you see, what message exactly? Was the system rebooted after it was joined to the domain?
When i reinstall the OS XP i joined the Domain n did also my system restarted.
I was able to login into the domain but later when i shut down the system n Restarted it after typing my username & Password its again comming back to login Window. Pls help me in finding the right solution.
Can you logon locally to the computer using a local user name and password NOT the domain user name and password. If you still have the same problem, what is time frame from when you reloaded the operating system until the problem appears? Is it the same day or several days?
When you reloaded the operating system, did you have any problems activating XP?
Is the computer in the correct OU in Active Directory?
Sometimes i’m able to Logon locally to the computer using the local username n passwrd some time with the domain also using domain user n password (Once in a day i’m able to logon if i restart or shutdown then the same prob persist). I still have th same prob even after Relaoding the OS the same prob Appears, yes its the same day this prob occuring. Pls do find some solution n let me know how can i completely solve this prob, why only sometimes i’m able to login locally? Why i’m not able to logon Domain when i’m trying to login instantly screen shows loggingoff and the same login window appears.
Yes the computer is in the correct OU in Active Directory
you need to remove the computer from the OU and then rejoin the domain by logging on locally and then changing your network settings to log onto the domain. the computer’s SID has changed and even though the ‘computername’ is the same the information (kerbos) has changed
