 When i restore files in a library attached to a Journal to another library the files remain attached to the old library
OS/400
When i restore files attached to a Journal from one library to another library the files remain attached to the journal in the old library.  Is there any way to detach the files of the new library from original Journal apart from running the ENDJRNPF command during Restore.

Since the associated journal is an attribute of the file when it is saved, it's also going to be an attribute of the file when it's restored. If you don't want an attribute of an object to be saved, then change the attribute before saving. Or save a copy of the file that doesn't have that attribute set. Otherwise, AFAIK, you will need to issue ENDJRNPF after the restore finishes. Tom
