Great Question, Application Virtualization is virtualizing within an Operating System Environment meaning that ONLY the application is encapsulated within an environment and I can run multiple Virtualized Applications on the SAME Operating System. Paravirtualization is a technique used in Operating System Virtualization to allow for greater performance due to cooperation between the Guest Operating System and the Hypervisor.
